Bali Surf Getaway: everything you need to know
Our Bali getaway is one of our most sought-after international experiences, and there is a good reason for it. See what you can expect on this unique surf experience to the Island of the Gods.
Your home away from home
The Regali villas are your luxury home away from home during this Bali getaway. This stunning resort is located in the heart of Canggu but in a peaceful corner, away from the hustle and bustle of this trendy area. You'll be within walking distance of the beach and all the most popular cafes and restaurants, plenty of shopping and unique venues to discover around the area.
Each of the stunning private villas at Regali offers a tea-making station and fridge, an outside lounge deck to relax in, and a private swimming pool. There are options for a twin shared or single villa to ensure we cater for all budgets. Whatever you choose, wake up to the sound of the birds, surrounded by a tropical garden and feeling like a dream.
As part of the communal facilities, the resort offers a beautiful tropical swimming pool, a yoga deck and a spacious dining area where you’ll enjoy breakfast every morning.
Where do we surf
Bali offers a great selection of waves for all levels and abilities. At Surf Getaways, we choose each day’s surf break depending on the conditions. We’re open to surfing anywhere between the West, East and South coasts. Our priority is to find the most suitable waves for the group with the least crowds and the best conditions.
Some of our favourite surf breaks are Kedungu or Medewi on the West Coast, Sanur and Keramas on the East Coast and Bingin on the South. We always stay flexible and ready for early morning surfs or post-breakfast sessions depending on tides, winds and swells to ensure you are surfing the most optimal conditions.
Like most coastal regions, Bali surf breaks work differently depending on the season. But you don’t have to worry about any of that as our local guides, together with your Surf Getaways experienced coach, will ensure you’re taken to the best spots on the island.
Where do we eat
The culinary options in Bali are endless, with all sorts of restaurants, worldwide cuisines and exotic flavours to discover. Part of our job is to choose the best ones for you (we know, such a hard task), and we take our job very seriously.
During this full-immersion week, we’ll take you to our favourite local restaurants to try delicious Balinese flavours and spices (if you like spicy food, make sure you order the Indonesian sambal sauce - the real deal!).
We’ve also selected some funky international restaurants with the best vibes and magical sunsets, beachfront venues to relax after a powerful surf session and exotic outdoor dining surrounded by rice fields and stunning views.
What do we do when we’re not surfing
The time in the water is as important as the time out of the water for your surfing progression. During the week, we’ll teach you some breathing exercises to stay calm in the water and have pool sessions to practice paddling techniques and strength, as well as video analysis to round up the coaching.
Then we top it all off with some wellness experiences to give some love to your body and mind. Stretch and relax your muscles with yoga sessions to help unwind and relax, a massage in the comfort of your private villa and the option to book more sessions in case you need extra care.
And let's not forget about the importance of enjoying some downtime for youself. Dip into your private pool, lounge around, read your favourite book, head to the beach or explore the area and discover cute boutique shops, delicious cafes and chic cocktail bars.
We’ve covered pretty much everything in this unique Bali experience to ensure you don’t miss out on anything. But remember, this tropical adventure is your holiday, and you can join as much or as little as you choose. We’re here to make your experience as stress free and as unforgettable as possible.
