In this epic Mexico tour, you’ll stay in luxury with your own private room, have daily surf coaching sessions and witness wild beaches, local traditions, beautiful waterfalls and stunning snorkelling. All with an amazing group of women to share the adventure with.

Experience Mexico
Stay in the vibrant village of Sayulita, and travel in luxury to the surrounding beaches on the Mexican Riviera just north of Puerto Vallarta. Discover beautiful beaches, with gently rolling waves and white sand, just a few miles south of a quiet, traditional fishing village with waves aplenty. You’ll have the chance to experience the truly unique Mexican culture and traditions, taste delicious exotic flavors and enjoy the beautiful warm weather by the tropical pool of our boutique hotel.
Punta Mita & Playa la Lancha
With over 6,000 miles of coastline, Mexico delivers magical waves for surfers all year round. As one of the truly iconic surf destinations, there’s a huge variety of breaks and plenty of swell with consistent and uncrowded waves. The Sayulita area and surrounding beaches in particular are truly a surfer's paradise, with many different breaks only a short drive away from our accommodation.
For example, Punta de Mita is a sweet, medium-sized wave with swells suitable for beginners. Or Playa la Lancha, a pristine beach with white sand, turquoise warm waters 365 days a year and several peaks to ride - a beginners, intermediates and longboarders paradise. Playa la Lancha remains an unspoiled beach and is one of the nicest of all in Nayarit, surrounded by abundant nature.
Beginner and intermediate surfers
Small groups of like minded women are what sets Surf Getaways surf tours apart from the rest, and one of the reasons why our customers choose to join our trips. Depending on your surf level and ability, our experienced guides will give you personalized direction, expertise, and the confidence you need. With daily surf coaching during the whole tour, beginners will learn the basics of surfing, such as paddling a board, ‘pop ups’, turtle rolls, and surfing etiquette. Intermediate surfers will learn tips and get recommendations for individual improvement using the latest in surf coaching techniques.
Experienced guides
Throughout the week, you’ll get coaching sessions to cover many aspects of surfing in and out of the water. Apart from the daily surf lessons, we’ll have video analysis, pool and paddling sessions and you’ll be learning breathing techniques and much more. Experienced female surf coaches and local guides will help you to develop and improve based on your current skill set. We’ll teach you much more than just standing up on the board. You’ll learn about surf etiquette, ocean safety, understanding the conditions and making the right decisions to have a fun and safe surf. At the end of the tour you’ll receive photos and videos of your progress for you to keep.
Luxury Boutique Hotel
A short 10-minute walk from the village – just far enough away from the hustle and bustle, a beautiful newly constructed boutique hotel places you amid a tropical setting, minutes away from the vibrant energy of Sayulita village. Avela Boutique hotel is ideal for those women interested in travel, gourmet food, yoga and meditation. All single rooms are private with an ensuite bathroom, air conditioning and a private balcony, with access to a beautiful tropical saltwater pool and relaxing Jacuzzi.
Mexican cuisine and exotic flavors
Your typical Mexico surf trip day begins with coffee, tea, fresh local and/or organic fruits along with an amazing Mexican breakfast surrounded by iguanas and colorful parakeets. Daily lunches are provided with 3 dinners included. You’ll experience the fantastic local Mexican cuisine of the region with all its vibrant flavors, and textures. Things to do during your free time
Anyone travelling to the area can enjoy hiking, biking, and horseback riding. Be in tropical jungles in less than a 10-minute stroll from Sayulita plaza with the chance to see one of the many different types of small mammals and reptiles. Check out the chic bohemian shopping boutiques for swimwear, jewellery and beautiful home decor. Sayulita’s art galleries offer a variety of wonderful treasures from hand-woven textiles to ceramics, paintings and indigenous Huichol art.
